The message of the cross

1 Corinthians 1:17-18 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. Christ the Power and Wisdom of God 18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Here apostle Paul said that preaching the gospel does not depend on wisdom of words, but to preach the message of the cross. When Jesus was on earth, he preached the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, made disciples, healed the sick and cast out demons, and was finally crucified on the cross, but was resurrected on the third day after his death. He died on the cross because of his weakness, but he was resurrected because of the power of God. It is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
On the cross Jesus said, Father, forgive them. Because what they did, they didn’t know. Here they refer to those who crucified him. This shows the forgiving and merciful love of Jesus. After Jesus died on the cross, a soldier pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water gushed forth. The blood and water is the fount of mercy, the world can be saved by. Jesus died on the cross to save the world, as a sin offering to save the world from sin, reconcile people to God. Jesus resurrected on the third day after his death, this gives us His believers the hope of resurrection and eternal life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God loves the world and gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us, and then resurrected, so that all who believe in him should not perish but have eternal life, be saved, have the hope of resurrection, and the hope of eternal life.
May God bless you and your family. 🙏😊
