Spiritual blindness

John 9:35-41 35 35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” 37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” 38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. 39 Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” 40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?” 41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

The Pharisees threw out the blind man. The Lord Jesus found him and asked him if he believed in the Son of God. The Lord Jesus healed him. He only knew that the Lord Jesus was a prophet, but he did not know that he was the Son of God. When he knew that the Lord Jesus was the Son of God, he believed. The Lord Jesus rarely took the initiative to tell people that he was the Son of God. He did take the initiative to tell the Samaritan woman. When the blind man knew that he was the Son of God and worshipped him, the Lord Jesus did not refuse. When people wanted to worship apostles or angels, they refused. The Lord Jesus did not refuse because He is the Son of God, one of the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus said that He came “so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” The blind man could not see. The Lord Jesus opened his eyse. Although the Pharisees could see physically, but they were blind spiritually. The Lord Jesus performed many miracles. not only they did not believe that He was the Christ, but also they wanted to kill Him. They were self-righteous and did not know their own sins, so their sins remained, when a person knows his sins and confesses and repents, he will receive the Lord’s forgiveness.
May God bless you and your family. 🙏
